Santa's Ghetto Bethlehem made just shy of one million dollars (approximately ten times what we expected) so thanks very much for that.

With the money we're providing thirty university places for kids from the poor parts of town and the refugee camps. These will all be at the Dar a-Kalima college, up on the hill in Bethlehem, which is the only dedicated arts university in the Middle East. Every student will get all their fees paid and living expenses for the duration of their two year course.

We're also helping the Wi'am Project which is a grassroots organisation dealing with 'community, family and political conflict resolution' who need an extension, materials and staff. The rest of the money has gone into a trust fund that Banksy has no access to and we'll be dispensing it to good projects throughout the year, so watch this space...
